Why do parents care about their kids so much?

Bob Pucella: The Bible says at Psalm 127:3: “Look! Sons [and daughters as well] are an inheritance from Jehovah; the fruitage of the belly is a reward.”An inheritance is like a gift. Parents often work long and hard to provide everything they can for their kids. Some are fortunate enough to be able to leave them an inheritance; if not money, then something that holds a lot of meaning for them. In any case, it is evidence of a parent’s love. The Bible says that God has given parents their children as an inheritance. Kids are a loving gift from him. God chose to create us with the ability to produce children who would resemble their parents in looks, manners, etc. You probably look like a mixture of your parents with a few stronger traits from your mom if you're a girl or your dad if you're a boy.Maybe your parents have neglected to tell you lately that they love you, leaving you to doubt their feelings for you. Telling those we care for we love them is very important! . Yet, actions speak louder than words. Love is manifest not only by what they say, but even more so by what they do. It is shown by the time, attention, and care that they provide for you. What can you do to get more from them emotionally?Think about what your parents have done for you. Do you have a roof over your head, a bed to sleep on, food to eat, clothing to wear? Do they add a few of your "wants" to your list of "needs"? Try treating them the way you want to be treated. A little gratitude will add to the desired affect you want. Also, if you want them to be more affectionate, then show it by giving them a hug, a smile, a quick peck on the cheek as you pass by. Look for opportunities to compliment them. Show interest in their interests and share yours also.As you can imagine, a positive, patient, and loving attitude brings out the best in everyone and encourages the same kind of attitude. Soon they'll be noticing YOUR good contributions to the family, and you may get! more hugs and kisses than you expected. You'll see that your ! parents care for you not just due to a sense of duty, but because you're THEIR kid and they genuinely love you....Show more

Loise Mausser: Because they are parents... Because that is true love... Because blood is always thicker than water...

Chris Wilczewski: Child....are you really that immature and clueless...grow up!
