Christiane Cattano: if you are getting power to the pump, can you hear it running? if not it my need to be replaced. depending on the type of car, there is a fuel pressure regulator in the fuel rail. if it bad it will return the fuel back to the tank. Just make sure the pump is running.
Queenie Ruthers: The fuel pressure sensor is indicating fuel pressure outside the "normal" range. This could be due to several issues, low fuel pressure, high fuel pressure, bad pressure sensor, plugged fuel filter. This sensor is telling the ECM how much fuel pressure is in the rail. The ECM varies the voltage to the pump to increase or decrease the fuel pressure in the fuel rail. I believe that this model uses a "returnless" fuel rail. Do a Fuel pressure check first, this would be the next logical step. If the pressure is within spec, then replace the sensor and clear the codes, see if it occurs again. If the pressure is out of spec (Too High or Too Low) , then the underlyin! g cause will need to be cured before the code will go away....Show more
