What's a good 4-6 people board game?

David Kuper: Hi guys, I'm just starting at the Wargaming hobby, but i´ve been reading and watching videos about painting and such for over 2 month, and i have some doubts about priming. As i understand it, if you don't prime your miniatures the paint chips off, etc. Bottom line you don't get a good paint job in the end. I´m aiming to get a decent tabletop quality for my minis since i want to take all the time i need to paint the armies. My problem with priming is that i cant find priming spray paints where i live, just regular latex spray paint so i would like your help on these questions:1) Can i prime with this latex spray paints? or they might eat trough plastic minis, damage the details on them, etc. Is there another bad side effect of using these paints to prime?2) Can i prime a mini using just a high quality paint such as the Black/white color in the Game Workshop Hobby starter set (i think they are of the foundation line) or with a Vallejo Model color line and a br! ush? if it is possible to do this, is there a bad side effect to using this priming method? should i water down the paint when priming or apply it right out of the bottle? Thanks in advance for your answers. Happy Wargaming

Loriann Carrigan: Battle of the Sexes is funand so is Cranium.

Alexandria Popik: life, break the safe, blokus, scatogories, clue, quelf (very funny), life twist and turns, dicecapedes, payday

Elfreda Grossen: I usually give the kids I babysit easier games if they're around that age. Matching games are great, especially if it'll teach them new words since they might just be learning to read. When I was younger I had a game called "Memory" - it was quite nifty. If you're looking for more board-gameish type things, go with Chutes and Ladders or Operation.

Ruby Martis: I take it English is not your first language because you failed to ask a real question or make a valid point here. If it is your primary or only language, you have spen! t to much time on your game and are in real need of human cont! act. At best, you are trying to sell something here and that is a violation of the TOS and a sad commentary on the youth of today, or at least one of them.

Marjory Stromme: SORRY!! , Trivial Pursuit , Monopoly!

Leticia Laiben: James, ok, so I was at the Harry Potter Premiere the other day, I got there at 5 for a midnight showing...i know i know....well the girls behind us had this game, and she was like, "its better with more people, if anyone wants to play,"it looked interesting so i decided to play. Today, it is seriously the funnest board game i have ever played...i had never heard of it, and as i can see here, most people have not! its called Scotlands Yard, i saw that you can buy it online from target, so they might have some copies, or you can prob get it at a big game store. i wish more people knew of it, because i can't believe i have gone my whole life without playing it! its a detective type game, where one person is the badguy and the others the dete! ctives, the game board is a big map of london, and you travel by bus, railroad, or taxi to different parts of the city, the bad guy hides his place for most of the game but has to show you a few times during play...your job is to find him on the map...i had so much fun playing this game, you have to try it!! it will be a blast for the whole family!!...Show more

Kassie Kay: apples to apples, life, sorry, pictionary man, disney or another scene it

Lewis Ranft: White is considered to have the initiative from the beginning as he makes the first move. If Black just simply mirrors his moves he cannot take the initiative in this manner. In fact, it usually leads to White setting a nice trap if Black does it for too long. That is why I prefer asymmetrical openings as black, like the Sicilian. In this way, Black attempts to wrest the initiative away from White very early in the game. That being said, each line and variation and even sub-variations have their merits.! Opening theory is a very deep subject that takes up entire books, some! times just on one sub-variation of a known line.If you want to discuss a specific line or analyze a particular position you can email me or post it here for a more thorough analysis. Interesting question. Thank you.

Sharolyn Claybourn: life?

Myesha Zerbe: Board Games like monopoly or parcheesi are boring and too long. I suggest "Ticket to Ride" a great game.

Bryant Chaudhry: the best game in the world and it is not a board game but you can play it with like 10 people and it is called apples to apples, it is a very amazing game, all you have to do is buy the family edition for like 40.00 at the store. it is a card game that describes personalities of other people you are playing with but it is really funny to play and people laugh when they play this game and enjoy it so much. that's why i get best answer for answering that question.

Zulema Baccam: i can sell it for cro or items in teh game everything is pure and wle thuahgt its not teh first acc! ount i sold for items and cro hit me up and le tme know

Lia Argall: Definitely play Would You Rather!!

Tosha Tawney: I understand why you're getting tired of them: it happened to us, too. There are lots of great, never-get-boring board games out there, it's just that they're not advertised or sold at Target. My family (only 4P) plays board games a couple of times a week, and we love:The Settlers of Catan (4 players, but can play 6 with an expansion) This is the world's most popular modern board game, WAY more fun than Monopoly, but similar in terms of gameplay:http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/13Railroad Tycoon is a great game about building railroads across the USA. Huge board, huge fun:http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/17133Stone Age (only plays 4 players, but is our new favourite) is all about collecting stuff your village needs. Also has the most beautiful game board ever:http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/34635Killer Bunnies is a cartoony, ! crazy card game for lots of people. It can take a little long to play,! but it's got lots of "take-that!" for families who like that kinda thing:http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/3699Enemy Chocolatier is a great big game in a small package. It only costs $6, but you have to supply game pieces (dice, etc) from your other games. Kind of like being Willy Wonka, we play this almost every week:http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/23779Lexio (3-5P) is one of those get-rid-of-all-your-cards-first games, but instead of cards, it's got beautiful domino-like tiles. Everyone always wants to play "One more!"http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/19184The hottest new party/family game is Say Anything. I don't have it, but I have the previous game from this designer, and it's a party in a box:http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/33604Finally, our family's favourite card game is Bohnanza. It has great, funny art, lots of trading and deal-making, and plays up to 7 people!http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/11If you go to the source website fo! r any of these, you can find reviews, pictures, and all kinds of information that will help you decide if the games are right for you. Life is too short to play crappy games you buy at Wallmart--play fun games, instead!Good luck and happy gaming!...Show more

Matt Gerdeman: When I play Black, I tend to find it difficult to neutralize White's opening initiative.I feel that there must be certain advantages in positioning where Black could stop White. Theoretically, can symmetrical opening work in favor for Black? I think that Black can continue to imitate White as long it is feasible and desirable to do so, and deviate when that ceases to be the case. I like an awesome discussion about chess. Thanks for your input.

Jerrod Guilfoil: I haven't had good outcomes with latex on minis. I use acrylics, I know people have an easier time getting bright colors from oils and inks but I find them harder to work with especially when you're painting an army instead of a few di! splay pieces.I usually prep plastic miniatures by dipping them in water! with a bit of dish detergent then rinsing in clear water and drying - this removes the leftover chemicals from the molding process. I haven't seen a need to do this with metal minis. I then prime them with a black wash, made of black acrylic paint thinned with water. I want a thin undercoat so it will cover the miniature but be so thin that it won't obscure the details on the mini. After the primer is dry, I paint the mini. Once I've completed all the detail I want to do - including drybrushing, inking, etc. - I allow the mini to dry, then coat it with a clear matte sealer to help protect the paintjob.I've tried Games Workshop paints and I've tried regular art acrylics from a local art shop and I really haven't seen any difference, except that the art store paints are about half as expensive or less.
