Are online teaching aids helpful to teach a baby reading?

Willie Tun: 1

Scot Sepulbeda: How young is your baby? Just start with reading to your child....

Branden Roddick: Try teachers.net. They have tons of resources.

Saran Stealy: I don't know. Today's world there are bad and good things in the computer. Maybe you can teach your baby by going to good sites. This is my answer for your question. Bye!

Evelin Turlich: Childhood is not a race. Does it really matter if someone learns to read as a "baby" or at age 6? When they are adults will anyone know?Chill out and have fun with your child.

Darwin Ecton: They are really helpful, especially if you have a busy life yourself. these programs are really convenient too.they make use of intelligent approaches which can make learning as fun as possible using toys and videos.ABabyCanRead is one of the bestselling online programs which can teach your baby to read....Show more

Ambrose Mumma: My kids all read by the age of 2. We never set out to do this, ! it just kind of happened. We did not have the internet then so I cannot comment on online teaching aids.We did limit television to Sesame Street type shows plus Wheel of Fortune. It just became a habit to put it on every evening. One day when he was about 13 months old, he crawled up on the table to 'help' me with my shopping list. As I wrote the word, 'onion', he spelled "U-O-I-U-O" (he was looking at it upside down) I was absolutely shocked and tried to test him on other letters. He knew every one except w,q,v,z-- the letters that are hardly ever called on Wheel. From there, he helped to teach his younger siblings. (My kids are all about 15-18 months apart.)...Show more

Evelin Turlich: Do you mean sites that your child can use or are you looking for activities and ideas? Reading to your child 20minutes (or more) a day ! is a great start. How old is your child? I am not a big fan of! computer or television programs designed to teach young children to learn. I believe that hands on, real life experiences are what children need to be successful. But, if you are going to sit down with your child and interact with them while they are using a website than great! A site that I have used with my kiddo is starfall.com and it is a lot of fun but the key is to actually interact with the child while they are exploring the site....Show more
