How does education reduce poverty?

Cletus Makler: To put it simply; when someone is more educated they will get a better job and therefore will make money. If everyone is educated it would be more likely that everyone would get a job and eliminate poverty. Poverty would never completely be eliminated but in an ideal situation...

Kate Baune: Higher education = better, high paying jobsIf everyone had these better, high jobs, no one would be poor.If everyone wasn't poor, there would be no poverty.

Giovanni Malool: How does education reduce poverty in developing countries?

Myron Leftwich: Educated people have more chances to be economic independant. They can find a job or star their own business (even though to start your business, education is not necessary).

Dannie Briseno: Education gives people the skills they need to become more employable and get better-paying jobs, so they can move up the economic ladder out of poverty.

Lupe Sancen: The wealth of a country depends on nat! ural resources and infrastructure but the most important factor is the skill of its labor force. In a modern economy the skills needed are no longer ones people can learn without going to school.
