Undocumented students getting a higher Education (University) What is the positive impact in our society???

Burt Cheevers: You might want to consider what the purpose of public education is in seeking an answer to your question.If the purpose of university is simply to prepare an individual for a higher paying job, then I see your point of doubt.If the purpose of education is to enlighten participants in democracy, then every person living in this country would seem to be as good a candidate as any other.Sooner or later, many undocumented workers become documented workers. Certainly the children of those workers or the very young immigrants have a tendency to remain here. My lawn man just got his citizenship. He's going to vote for the first time in 2 weeks. I hope and pray he can read a newspaper before he casts his ballot. Don't you? Or does the idea of a ;large and totally ignorant block of voters who get all of their ideas from television appeal to you?As long as they are going to be my neighbors, I prefer that they have some degree of education. Education is what pr! epares persons for life in a complex Society like ours. Either we pay for their schooling or we pay for their incarceration.
